What is going on with my little guy? Has anyone else had this experience around this time of development? Is this a stage or phase? He's making me crazy and I don't know how to fix it. NOTHING is good enough for him any more (now I know what you're thinking). He is difficult and uncooperative on the changing table. He used to look at toys or even just a clean diaper to distract him. Now he throws it to the floor and fusses this fake, drive you crazy cry. He's not in physical pain, just ticked that he is having his diaper changed. At mealtimes, he is suddenly chewing his food and then spitting it out or pushing it out with his tongue. Today he actually sucked on the cherrios until they were soggy and spit them out. We have been diligent about trying new things but keeping old favorites, and he has never had any problems eating any of these foods before. If I give him finger food, it isn't any better. It, too, ends up on the floor and not in his tummy (it may spend some time in the mouth though). In the grocery store I have always allowed him a snack of cherrios or those yogurt melts and today, I would give him one he'd look at it, then me, and throw it on the floor. What the heck is going on?? The kid HAS to eat but is suddenly refusing everything, no matter the stage, texture, or amount of dependence/independence. I'll take any advice!... Read More »
